Ritual

The process of slowing down and grounding into the sacred container that is psychotherapy can be challenging in this busy world. Collaborating with clients, I offer creative, experiential tools that can help support  clients in feeling more embodied, present, grounded and available during our time together online and after.

Ritual helps to mark the passing of a threshold; a ceremony that helps us integrate and process that something internally or externally has shifted, changed or been transformed in our lives. Though these use to be living practices in many parts of the world, witnessed by family and community, in present times they are diminished and abandoned, leaving many of us with no guides for how to cross into the next phase of life.

The art of ritual can be introduced during moments or events that might include the passing of a loved one, marriage & long-term partnership, grief and sadness, generational trauma, the arrival of a child, parenthood , aging, illness, graduation & beginning school, career changes, moving, beginning & endings of relationships, saturn return, survival of a traumatic event, profound dreams and ancestor veneration.

Rituals can also be small, daily ceremony that are repeated to anchor us in the present and weave a thread of stability and continuity from one day to the next; they can infuse mundane moments with sacred meaning by adding intentionality and love.
